RE: Epoc Cohen, Holly 22 Mar 2011 13:21 UTC

Hi All,

I have one and have tried it (although on a limited basis) with myself and one patient. It is interesting. My compliant is that there are 16 small sponges in the headset, which fall out very easily. After one use, they became "beat up" looking as well. In terms of moving the mouse, if the client has head movement, there is a blue tooth component in the head set which can make mouse movement easier. In terms of a BCI sort of movement, there is a training module that I have gone through but was unable to see adequate carryover with my client (or functionality). I do plan to trial it again when appropriate.

Best,

I ordered one last night... going to play with it when it arrives, but my
expectations are low. I'll post a review...

I agree. I admit to being a cynic. I've been working for ALS for 15
years and have seen many companies offering "the solution" to
communication issues--preying on the vunerable PALS and CALS. Then never
delivering.
So, if anyone has user experience, good or bad, I would love to hear it.
I would also love to be proved wrong.

Certainly looks interesting. Please share your clients experience if you
can. The website sure is designed to inspire. I hate to be a cynic but the
function and the price appears too good to be true.

Hi guys,

I have a pt who purchased this: http://www.emotiv.com/apps/epoc/299/ and
is using it with Dasher on her desktop computer. Does anyone else have
experience with it? I haven't seen it in action yet.
