Does ASHA know it is a problem?

Subject: Medicare

So, I heard back from Medicare. They are saying that provider specialty 15
(SLP) is not valid for the procedure codes 92607, 92608 and 92609. He said
specialty 15 is listed as the only specialty who "can't" bill these codes.
My guess is that whoever wrote the manual accidentally typed a can't instead
of a can.

He told me to look up internet publication 100-03 Chapter 1, part 1, section
10-80.12 and section 50.1 for more information. I'll get started filing an
appeal.

I really wish ASHA would handle this. Any suggestions other than going
through the appeals process?
