RE: New iPad App[no ePHI] Chris Jasch 29 Mar 2011 15:05 UTC

I've passed this on to a friend of mine who has had his iPad since the
thing got on the market. I think he was one of the crazies that slept
outside for the darn thing. He uses it all the time. I'll pass on his
insights if they are pertinent.

There is of course much to say about the differences between a dedicated
SGD and the options on an iPad. There are obviously many factors and
considerations on both sides. Just like so many new technologies, the
iPad can be a great toy and it doesn't help the manufactures that it
comes with so much popular attraction.

I don't think any of us think the iPad is right for everyone and our
clients need to be aware of issues with any technology we may recommend.

Preaching to the choir, I know.

Ummm...sound fishy here. I would think that if an iPad screen wears out
after two months, it would be national news.

Me thinks there is something else goiing on that said rep didn't say....

Sorry for the cross post. I just received a call from a Dynavox Rep.
explaining an ALS Clinic ( she did not name) was no longer recommending
patients use iPad because of the screen wearing out following 2 months
of use. Anyone running across this issue?

Thanks,
