Thanks Betts. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this technology. If you hear anything, please let us know.

Subject: FW: [EyeGuideT Sales Query] mouse emulation?
Hi all,
I got curious after Alisa's listserv post about the EyeGuide, so I did a little digging. From their website, it looked like the EyeGuide would only record a user's eye movements, and not allow for mouse emulation and actual computer control. I emailed the company to ask for clarification, and they said they are working on a new, affordable product for mouse emulation - see their response below. I am very curious to see how "affordable" it will be.

Subject: RE: [EyeGuide(tm) Sales Query] mouse emulation?
Hi, Betts:
Thank you for your inquiry. EyeGuide(tm) is designed as a research tool that only records and analyzes eye movement. However, we have another product in development right now that will do exactly what you're asking. It is an assistive tool for children/adults with special needs who, instead of using their hands to control a mouse to navigate a computer, they will use their eyes to do it. This is an exciting product because, compared to many other products already on the market, ours will be affordable. In fact, we're so excited about it that we're offering the software for free with the purchase of the hardware, which is priced very low so that everyone can afford it. This product will be available early next year--only a few months from now.
If you'd like, I can add you to my newsletter list and notify you when the product is available. In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions about EyeGuide(tm) or our new product. We'd be happy to address any questions or supply additional information.
Sincerely,
Tasha Fowler
