Do you see your patients quarterly? We see ours quarterly. Sometimes I?m not sure what to do when they come in one day and I?m ordering them a device- if the device takes 2-3 months to get (and sometimes it does) I?m never sure If I should leave the chart open or close it and re-open once they receive their device.

I'd you are only see the patient 1 time every 90 days, then you do an eval only visit each time with treatment on the same day. You can bill for an eval and treatment if neded. Your eval would be to document changes in their function due to the ALS and your treatment would be any education and training you do on that same day.

This is how I see my ALS patients who don't need ongoing treatment.
