Having just come from the 5th International Brain-Computer Interface Meeting, I would say that 2-5 selections per minute is pretty typical and few studies report more than 5 selections per minute with actual end-users.  There are isolated reports of faster performance, but usually not in real-life situations for real-life tasks.
