Subject: RE: iphone / ipad accessibility Siri + Switch

Hi,
I am trying to use a switch and Siri on an iPhone but am running into a problem. I turn on Assistive Touch so Siri is available but the moment I turn scanning on the Assisitve Touch "home" button disapears from the screen. This may or may not be important, but am using iPhone screen as my switch because I don't have a bluetooh switch/keyboard with me. Does anyone know what I need to do differently. Switch + Siri does seem like a nice option for hands free phone use.

Sincerely,

Amy Roman, MS, CCC-SLP

Nancy, Thank you! Now follow up
question- does switch access allow you to bypass using the home butt entirely? Once he gets to home screen he can use accessibility buttons. But bypassing this guy below?

accessibility Siri is one of the options in AssistiveTouch. If you turn that on in Accessibility, the dot stays on the screen. Touch once to open, then Siri is a choice to touch to open. Hope that helps.

accessibility Hi all, I have a PALS who is still using his iphone regularly but due to extremity weakness is struggling to access his phone. He has the accessibility home button on his display screen which has helped a lot to avoid having to exert pressure, but his main question was is a way to make “siri” switch accessible? Or accessible ANY other way than by holding down hold button?
His voice is strong so he is great at using voice commands.
 Thank you in advance!
